Event Close, Thank You, Stats and Winners
The Irish Jihad has come to a successful close. THANK YOU to all
participants and those who donated time, money, services or
products! The intent of the Irish Jihad was to raise funds for SAR
and to raise awareness that SAR needs our help just as we need their
help. The Irish Jihad accomplished the goals and we were able to
have fun doing it! A big thank you to the BLM for allowing this
event to take place. Thank you to Jared Hillhouse at NorthWash
Outfitters for running the registration and absorbing the payment
gateway fees. Thank you to Tom Jones at Imlay Canyon Gear for
donating prizes. Thank you to Jessica and Duke Alvey at Stan's
Burger Shak for matching donations, advertising and providing yummy
shakes to those who completed the route. Thank you to Luke
Galyan at BluuGnome for web space and donating prizes.
We raised $1145 that was split between the two counties. The costs
of running the event; prizes, shipping, mailings, advertising and
handling of monies were all donated so that 100% of the actual
donations went to SAR.

listed at this time unless you tell us not to list your time.

I don't have a trip planned during the period of the
event, so I can only donate... (May have to try this on
my own, the next time I AM around!) Best of luck to all
involved, and thanks to those involved in SAR

Pooka is a creature of Irish folklore and Welsh
mythology,[2] one of the myriad fairy folk, both revered
and feared by those who give credence to their
existence. According to legend, the Pooka is a deft
shapeshifter, capable of assuming a variety of
terrifying or pleasing forms
Post Event Comment:
We met our two most important objectives: complete the
event within 24 hours, and do so safely. We also had a
great time. ;-)
